Cinequest 18 Screenwriting Competition
San Jose, CA —
October 21, 2007 — Organizers of the Cinequest Film Festival announced that screenplay submissions are now being accepted for the Cinequest 18 Screenwriting Competition. The deadline for submission is November 10, 2007 with a discounted entry fee to those who submit before October 31, 2007.

On January 7, 2008, 10 finalists will be announced and given 14 days to resubmit their screenplays with any corrections and improvements they choose. Those 10 screenplays will be sent to the final jury, which is comprised of top industry producers and development executives. The top three winners will be announced and given cash prizes during Cinequest 18, February 27 - March 9, 2008. Festival expert Chris Gore named Cinequest as one of the "Best Festivals for Screenwriters" in the latest edition of his Ultimate Film Festival Survival Guide. Read more...
