Hollywood, CA -- We are pleased to announce that the BlueCat Screenplay Competition is open for entries of
feature-length screenplays for our ninth year.

Every writer who enters the competition will receive a written analysis of his or her screenplay submission. Writers who enter screenplays between November 1 and November 30 will receive a script analysis by February 1. All other analyses will be sent after the semi-finalists are announced.

In addition, one finalist will receive a live, staged reading of his or her script at BlueCat’s Screenplay Live at the High Falls Film Festival in New York. The writer will receive airfare, hotel accommodations and a festival pass.

Loglines and contact information for all finalists will appear on the BlueCat Web site, along with an interview with the winner. Top screenplays will be made available to the film industry upon announcement.

Semi-finalists will be announced on July 1, 2007; five finalists, on July 15, 2007; and the winner, on August 1, 2007. The grand prize is $10,000, and the prize for finalists is $1500 each.
